Cooler Saturday night; Mild, sunshine Sunday; Warmer next week
Saturday was a warm winter day despite more clouds than sunshine, and some showers and storms south. High temperatures were in the 60s north to mid 70s south. A slowly moving cold front pushed south of our area during the day. That ended the showers and storms across far south Alabama by the early evening. Saturday night turns cooler with a clearing sky in the wake of the front, with lows in the 40s.
Some fog may develop early Sunday morning, but by the afternoon, Sunday turns into a mild day with sunshine. Temperatures warm into the mid 60s during the afternoon. Monday and Tuesday look partly cloudy, with highs in the mid 60s Monday, and low 70s Tuesday. The latter half of next week looks even warmer, with highs in the mid 70s Thursday and Friday.
Rain chances also increase towards the end of the week. Longer range models suggest a stalling cold front still brings rain to Alabama, mainly Friday. Models diverge after that, with one suggesting lingering rain along the stalled front through next weekend. Another suggests the front pushes through Alabama, resulting in drier weather next weekend into the following week.
