Dry through Tuesday, warm this week, rain/storms return late Friday
Sunday was a mild January day, with plenty of sunshine and high temperatures in the 60s. Sunday night looks partly to mostly cloudy, with temperatures only falling into the 40s through early Monday morning. Monday looks partly to mostly cloudy, with highs in the 60s. Tuesday also looks partly to mostly cloudy, but dry, with high temperatures in the low 70s.
Stray showers appear possible Wednesday afternoon, but Thursday features a better chance for isolated, light showers. However, the best chance for rain this week arrives Friday, perhaps late in the day through Friday night and into Saturday. Despite some degree of cloud-cover and chances for rain, temperatures warm into the mid 70s Wednesday through Friday.
The better chance for rain late this week arrives as a cold front pushes into the southeast. The front may move through Alabama next weekend, resulting in cooler, more winter-like temperatures Sunday into next week. High temperatures may only be in the 50s Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday. Those days may remain dry in the wake of the cold front. Meanwhile, low temperatures may fall to near freezing again Monday and Tuesday night.
