Storm Threat Friday Into Saturday

Our spring-like warmth continues and we finish out the work week with it. High pressure center out over the gulf will help provide a warm southerly wind flow into the area. We expect mid to upper 70s for highs at times.  A frontal system will march into the deep south Friday into Saturday. This system will be our next rain maker.  We could even experience a few strong to possibly severe storms Friday into Saturday.  Right now, the greater risk for severe storms would favor west of the I-65 corridor.  A few storms may be capable of producing damaging wind gust, hail, and possibly tornadoes. We’re monitoring this potential threat and will provide more details as the week progresses. A return to sunshine and colder weather conditions Sunday into early next week. We’re expecting highs back in the 50s and low down in the lower 30s.  Winter will be back, so enjoy this warmth while it last.
