Turning colder Saturday night; Feeling like winter again next week

Saturday started stormy, with a line of strong to severe storms marching west to east across our area during the morning. Those storms caused wind damage and power outages, especially in parts of the river region. The sky remained cloudy for the rest of the day, while temperatures were still in the 50s and 60s during the late evening behind a cold front. However, Saturday night turns colder with a clearing sky late. Temperatures fall into the 40s.

Sunday and next week remain colder, as winter-like temperatures return to our area for a while. High temperatures range from the mid to upper 50s Sunday and Monday. Meanwhile, low temperatures fall below freezing, into the upper 20s Sunday and Monday night. Temperatures may warm to near 60° Tuesday and Wednesday, but another cold front arrives Wednesday, dropping temperatures Thursday and Friday.
