Winter Is Definitely Back This Week!
A return to winter this week! Much colder air will sticking around and you will feel it. Temps will drop into the 20s and 30s for overnight lows. Looks like a couple rounds of precipitation coming through the area. We always watch this a bit closer when really cold air is lurking!
In the meantime, a mostly clear and cold night ahead. Temps will drop in the upper 20s for lows. Tuesday is setting up to be mainly sunny with highs in the upper 50s to around 60 degrees. A frontal system will slide into the state Wednesday. We’re expecting a few showers to pass through during the day. As the precipitation departs more cold air spills into the state. Thursday is looking sunny but rather cold with temps only reaching the lower 40s for highs. Friday is going to be the coldest morning this week. We’re expecting lower 20s that morning.
At this point, the weekend is looking mainly sunny and dry. It will still be cold with highs around 50 and lows in the 30s. Some model data has suggested precipitation but we’re not sold on that idea for now. You may have seen snow maps posted online but we should all wait and see if there’s any consistency to those model runs before we get on that train.
