A portion of the boat belonging to a missing Wetumpka fisherman has been found in Selma.
Officials with the Selma-Dallas County Rescue Squad say part of the boat, belonging to 54-year-old James Dawkins, was pulled from the Alabama River Wednesday.
The boat was spotted floating down the river near the Selma Marina. Dawkins has not been located.
Troopers with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency say around 5:30 a.m. on Saturday, Dawkins launched his boat equipped with only a trolling motor near Shelton Landing on the Alabama River in Autauga County.
The Alabama Marine Police confirmed that the boat belonged to Dawkins.
