Distinguished Young Women contestants showcase talents at Kiwanis Club luncheon

The contestants from the Distinguished Young Women program took a break from their rehearsals going on this week to have lunch Tuesday with the Kiwanis Club in Downtown Montgomery.

Kiwanis Club members took the opportunity to chat with the contestants about the upcoming preliminaries and what colleges the young women will be attending after graduation.

In addition, some of the contestants displayed their talents ahead of this weekend’s showcase.

“The opportunity to be able to meet with the Kiwanis Club members,” said Shayla Holloway, the 2025 Distinguished Young Woman of Alabama. “They’ve been long time supporters of Distinguished Young Women of Alabama program and it’s so important to be able to see the people who give and pour so much into our program and we like the opportunity to be able to give back.”

The preliminaries will take place Friday, January 23 and during the day on Saturday, January 24. The finals will be held Saturday night.
