Montgomery man shot and killed near Mulberry Street

Montgomery police are conducting a homicide investigation following a man’s shooting death.

Police say 67-year-old Earnest Stone of Montgomery was shot last night. Officers were called at about 7:41PM to an area of East Sixth Street near West Street, which is not far from the intersection of Mulberry Street and Carter Hill Road.

At the scene, officers found Stone with fatal injuries from a gunshot wound.
