A Lee County inmate has been charged with electronic solicitation of a child.

Lee County Sheriff Jay Jones tells Action 8 News that investigators received information last Friday regarding an inmate soliciting a child under the age of 18.

Investigators recovered evidence that later confirmed the allegations.

Sheriff Jones says 18-year-old Jordan Mikel Bulger, of Opelika, has been charged with one count of Electronic Solicitation of a Child. His bond is set at $30,000.

Bulger is currently in the Lee County Detention Facility with no bond due to unrelated charges for failure to appear on an 1st degree assault and certain persons forbidden to posses a firearm.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the Lee County Sheriff’s Office at 334-749-5651 or Crime Stoppers at 334-215-STOP.
