U.S. Rep. Shomari Figures discusses school funding in Troy
U.S. Rep. Shomari Figures (D-Alabama) traveled to Troy to speak on the importance of education and funding for state schools.
Yesterday, Figures stopped by Christian Love Development Center to engage with educators and community members about how education funding directly impacts early childhood programs and student success across the entire state.
The Christian Love Development Center is a non-profit organization that provides a year-round program designed to help children realize their full physical, mental and spiritual potential.
“We have to make sure that we are investing in. educators. And by educators, I mean not just teachers. But teachers and school support personnel. They are the building blocks of a strong educational system,” Figures said.
