Third-grade student accused of shooting Elmore County school bus with BB gun

The Elmore County Board of Education and other authorities are investigating a report that a third-grade student shot a school bus with a BB gun.

School system officials say they got a report that a currently enrolled third-grade student fired the gun at a school bus on Wednesday, January 28. They say the student reportedly fired the gun from the porch of their home.

Ray Mullino, Elmore County Schools Transportation Director, reported that a school bus window was shattered.

School officials say they reported the incident to local authorities and are currently investigating the matter to determine appropriate discipline for the student.

The Elmore County Board of Education says it investigates all safety concerns immediately upon report of an incident and reports all incidents to the police department and evaluate each incident for school board discipline.
