Man out on bond arrested in shooting on Upper Wetumpka Road
Montgomery police have arrested a man for a shooting on Upper Wetumpka Road.
Police tell Action 8 that officers responded around 3:37 p.m. Tuesday in reference to a person shot.
Once officers arrived, they found a man suffering from life-threatening injuries.
The man was taken to a local hospital for treatment.
Police have arrested 20-year-old Courtney Maull, Jr. in that shooting.
Maull was booked on 1st degree Assault and 1st degree Robbery charges.
According to court records, Maull was out on bond for separate shooting that took place in 2024.
The documents say it happened just before 4:00 a.m. on December 8, 2024 in the 1900 block of Coliseum Boulevard.
The male victim was taken to the hospital for treatment of his injuries.
Maull was later indicted in that shooting on charges of 1st degree Assault and Discharging a Gun into an Occupied Vehicle or Building.
Also according to those same court records, Maull was expected to have a youthful offender status hearing this week.
Maull is currently in the Montgomery County Detention Facility.
