Overturned SUV found in Autauga Creek

Prattville police have opened up an investigation after a vehicle was found in the Autauga Creek overnight.

Firefighters responded around 12:16 Thursday morning to the 100 block of West Main Street. That location is in the downtown area.

Once they arrived, they found an SUV overturned in the creek.

Firefighters say the driver had exited the vehicle and was evaluated by medics before being transported to a local hospital for treatment.

The City of Prattville Street Department, along with police and fire, barricaded the damaged fence and permanent repairs are being made.
