Prattville Elementary School launches movement-based learning
Students at Prattville Elementary School now have a new way to learn while incorporating physical activity.
The ‘Read and Ride’ program is a movement-based learning and behavior incentive program that was made possible by a $5,000 donation from Whataburger.
The program integrates physical activity into the school day, helping students improve focus, regulate behavior and enhance learning through movement and reading.
School officials say the stationary work bikes are used for a variety of purposes, including sensory breaks, academic support, positive behavior reinforcement and classroom rewards.
