Alabama State blows out Mississippi Valley on the hardwood
The Alabama State Hornets welcomed the Mississippi Valley State Delta Devils to Montgomery Monday night, but handed Valley State their 25th loss of the season.
The Hornets won in blowout fashion, cruising by Valley State 92-55 in the Dunn-Oliver Acadome.
Freshman Forward Jerquarius Stanback led the Hornets in scoring with 13 points, shooting 5 of 9 from the field.
With this win, the Hornets grab their 9th win of the season and improve to 6-7 in SWAC play. Valley State falls to 0-12 in conference play.
Next up for the Hornets, they’ll be traveling to Daytona Beach, Florida to take on the Bethune-Cookman Wildcats on February 19th.
