A Notasulga man faces a list of charges, including child sex abuse and other sex-related offenses.

The Lee County Sheriff’s Office says 33-year-old Quintevas Jacquez Phillips is charged with one count of sexual abuse of a child less than 12, seven counts of production of pornography with minors, seven counts of possession of child pornography and one count of sodomy first degree.

Phillips is being held in the Lee County Detention Center without bond, awaiting an Aniah’s Law hearing.

Sheriff Jay Jones said on January 29, an employee with the Lee County Department of Human Resources filed a report with the sheriff’s office regarding sexual abuse of a child less than 12 years
old, that possibly occurred in the 1300 block of Lee County Road 1 in the Loachapoka community. During the investigation, evidence was obtained that supported the allegations, Jones said.

Today, investigators arrested and charged Phillips.
