Jewish Food Festival & Art Fair brings out hundreds to Temple Beth Or Sunday
The annual Jewish Food Festival and Art Fair was back in Montgomery Sunday.
The event is hosted by Temple Beth Or at 2246 Narrow Lane Road. The festival brought hundreds of people out to see all the different paintings, jewelry, and sculptures at the fair.
There was plenty of Jewish cuisines for people to try and buy as well. There were cabbage rolls, Kugel, Quajado, and much more. Attendees were able to take their food and eat outside and listen to music while they chatted with friends.
“This is an opportunity for us to have our community members come in and see what Jewish life is about, and we do that best by sharing food,” said Bruce Lieberman, President of Temple Beth Or.
“They’re wonderful people, and it’s a wonderful culture. The more we get exposed to it, the more we can just have fun and enjoy it,” said Montgomery resident, Maria Pacheco.
“It’s our way of being in relationship with the broader community because we feel that that’s important. Also, just exposure, so people can learn about Judaism, be around Jews, and think in a positive way,” said Rabbi of Temple Beth Or, Scott Looper.
Attendees also had the chance to chat with Rabbi Looper and learn more about Judaism and the Torah.
