Five arrested on drug charges in Alexander City

Five people have been arrested on various drug charges in Alexander City.

Today, the Tallapoosa County Narcotics Task Force and the Alexander City Special Response Group say they executed a search warrant in Alexander City. During the search, agents say they seized approximately two grams of methamphetamine, two grams of marijuana, two THC vapes, four types of prescription-only pills, digital scales and several other items used in the distribution and use of controlled substances.

Here is a list of those arrested and their charges:

54-year-old Sherry Fincher of Alexander City
Arrested and charged with six counts of distribution, one count of unlawful possession of a controlled substance and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia

39-year-old Furnis Muckenfuss of Alexander City
65-year-old Rhonda Whited of Alexander City
Arrested and charged with unlawful possession of a controlled substance and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia

66-year-old Debra Sims of Alexander City
53-year-old Jonathan Moor of Alexander City
Arrested and charged with four counts of illegal possession of a prescription medication, two counts of unlawful possession of a controlled substance, possession of marijuana in the second degree and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia

The investigation into the trafficking, possession and distribution of illegal narcotics is ongoing in Tallapoosa County, according to the sheriff’s office.
