Winter Isn’t Done With Us Just Yet
A much cooler air mass has returned to the state and it’s going feel more like early March for a change. The weekend is looking fairly nice but prepare for even more cold air early next week! Old man winter isn’t done with us just yet.
Tonight will be clear and chilly as temps fall into the upper 30s by early Friday morning. Abundant sunshine and southeasterly breezes will help warm the air back into the lower 70s by the late afternoon hours. High pressure will be building over the region and that will help provide more sunshine and dry conditions through Saturday. Temps will manage the upper 70s to lower 80s Saturday afternoon. Another frontal system will approach late Sunday and move through the state early Monday. This system will bring in a round of rain and storms Sunday night into early Monday morning. There may be a strong to severe storm threat with this system and will need to be monitored. We will update you on that tomorrow.
Early next week will be a reminder that winter isn’t over just yet. Another surge of cold air heads south and we’re going to be on the receiving end of it. We could experience lows in the lower 30s early Tuesday and Wednesday morning of next week.
