Man killed in pickup truck crash in Lowndes County

A man has been killed in a pickup truck crash in Lowndes County.

Alabama State Troopers say the wreck happened at about 5:35PM yesterday.

They say 55-year-old Randy Hirst of Lapine was driving the truck, which left the road and hit a tree. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The crash occurred on Alabama Highway 97, approximately nine miles north of Lapine, in Lowndes County.
