Troy woman charged with killing husband
A Troy woman has been charged with murder in the shooting death of her husband.
Troy police say 29-year-old Christian Petties had originally been arrested on February 28 on a charge of domestic violence in the first degree after her husband was shot in the 200 block of Sherwood Avenue.
Police say Kelly died of his injuries in a Montgomery hospital yesterday.
Because of that, Petties has now been charged with murder. She is being held in the Pike County Jail pending an Aniah’s Law hearing.
This case remains under investigation by the Troy Police Department, in coordination with the Pike County Coroner’s Office and the Pike County District Attorney’s Office.
