Strong storms knock down trees, power lines in Elmore County
The strong storms that pushed through our part of Alabama overnight brought down trees and power lines in Elmore County.
Wetumpka Fire Chief Greg Willis shared these photos with Action 8 News.
They show downed trees and power lines on Highway 111/Holtville Road at Crenshaw Road.
Alabama State Troopers closed that section of road so that crews could clear out the debris.
The storms were strong enough to prompt watches and warnings throughout the state.
