Winter Isn’t Done With Us Just Yet

Spring officially begins later this week but winter isn’t done with us just yet.  A late season cold snap continues and you’re going to feel the colder air through midweek.  There’s even the likelihood of widespread frost overnight.   Spring-like warmth will be returning soon and sticking around for a while.

In the meantime, we expect a mostly clear sky with temps dropping into the upper 20s to lower 30s overnight.  Winds will become calm and that sets us up for frost development.  We begin to gradually thaw out as temps nudge the 60 degree mark Wednesday afternoon.  A weak boundary will swing through and brings clouds with it earlier in the day.  High pressure will be over the area Thursday into Friday.  This will put us back under a mainly sunny sky. Temps will be warming and we’re climbing into the upper 70s late week.

The upcoming weekend will be trending much warmer. Abundant sunshine will continue to feel the sky and temps will respond.  We see 80s for highs and lows only in the 50s both Saturday and Sunday.  The warming will continue into the following workweek.  Daytime temps will climb into the upper 70s to lower 80s for highs and lows in the mid to upper 50s.
