ACTION 8 UPDATE: Opelika man charged with murder in fatal shooting at apartment complex
ACTION 8 UPDATE: Opelika police have now charged a man with murder following a fatal shooting at an apartment complex.
Police say they’ve charged 27-year-old Marc John Love of Opelika in the death of a 38-year-old woman. Her name hasn’t yet been released.
As Action 8 News has reported, the shooting happened just before 11AM today at 515 Fox Run Parkway, which is the location of the Arbor Place Apartments. They say the woman was found shot inside a vehicle.

Four Opelika schools were put on lockdown as police searched for the shooter. Police say a state trooper who was in the area arrested Love near the scene.
