Montgomery firefighters battle house fire
MONTGOMERY, Ala. (WAKA) – Montgomery firefighters have battled a house fire not far from the Alabama Governor’s Mansion in the Garden District.
The fire was reported just before 4AM today at a single story home in the 00 block of Wade Street, which is just off South Court Street.
Firefighters arrived to find a heavy fire in the attic. The fire was confined to the home. Primary and secondary searches confirmed that no one was inside the home at the time of the fire.
The Montgomery Fire/Rescue Bureau of Investigations is currently on scene to determine the cause of the fire.
