$1,000 reward offered in Pine Hill fatal hit and run

PINE HILL, Ala. (WAKA) – CrimeStoppers 215-STOP is offering a $1,000 cash reward for information that leads to the identification and arrest of the suspect responsible for a fatal hit and run in Pine Hill.
Pine Hill police say it happened in the early morning of January 18 on Alabama Highway 5, just north of Pine Hill.
Officials say Dequarius Pritchett was walking along the highway when he was hit by a vehicle. The driver then fled the scene, leaving Pritchett fatally injured.
No arrests have been made at this time.
Investigators are asking for the public’s help in identifying the driver and the vehicle involved.
Anyone who may have seen suspicious activity in the area or has information about the vehicle or suspect is urged to contact CrimeStoppers at 334-215-STOP.
