Man charged after woman hit by gunfire in Uniontown dies

UNIONTOWN, Ala. (WAKA) – A man is facing charges after a woman died after being struck by gunfire.

The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency says the gunfire happened just after 1AM on Sunday, March 29. Police officers were called to the 200 block of Water Avenue in Uniontown.

That’s where they found 26-year-old Erika Latavia Latham of Reform, who was pronounced dead.

ALEA says 33-year-old Deandre Brandell Langhorne of Uniontown was arrested yesterday and charged with manslaughter.

ALEA investigated this case at the request of the Uniontown Police Department.
