MONTGOMERY, Ala. (WAKA) – The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office and the Easter Bunny took time to visit children in Jackson Hospital and Baptist Medical Center East.

Their first visit was to Jackson Hospital’s nursery unit, giving away stuffed animals and taking photos with newborns. The second stop was to the pediatric wing at Baptist East, where they visited with children.

The sheriff’s office says this is a way to show parents, children and the community that it cares about them.

The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office annual Easter Egg Hunt will be held at AUM on the north side of campus on Saturday, April 4, at 2PM. The lineup starts at 1:45PM.
Each year, there are hundreds of children on several fields in various age groups who hunt eggs and win prizes. In addition to the Easter Bunny, they say there will be a surprise mascot making an appearance.
