Gov. Kay Ivey presents Easter message to Alabama
MONTGOMERY, Ala. (WAKA) – Gov. Kay Ivey is sharing her Easter message to the people of Alabama, reflecting on the hope, renewal and promise of this sacred season.
Delivered from the Governor’s Mansion, Gov. Ivey reflected on the story of the first Easter morning, citing Scripture from the Gospel of Luke and the Gospel of John, and reminded Alabamians that the promise of new life and renewal is all around us.
This week, Gov. Ivey spent two nights in Baptist Medical Center South in Montgomery where she had fluid drained that was pressing on her lung. She returned to the Governor’s Mansion yesterday and plans to be back in her office at the Alabama Capitol for the closing days of this year’s session of the Alabama Legislature.
