Troy implements “Clear Bag Policy” starting in the 2026-27 athletic season
Starting with the 2026-27 athletic season, Troy will be implementing a “Clear Bag Policy” for all sporting events. This decision was made for an extra security measure at events.
The policy is set to take effect on August 1st and will be in effect for all events taking place at Veterans Memorial Stadium, Trojan Arena and Riddle-Pace Field.
According to the University these are descriptions of bags that will and will not be permitted.
Approved Bags
• Bags that are clear plastic, vinyl or PVC and do not exceed 12” x 6” x 12”
• One-gallon clear plastic freezer bag
• Small clutch purse, with or without a strap or handle that does not exceed 4.5” x 6.5”
• Bags that contain necessary medical items, which must be inspected and approved at a designated gate.
Prohibited Bags (include, but are not limited to)
• Non-clear purses
• Wallets or clutches larger than 4.5” x 6.5”
• Coolers, briefcases, solid backpacks, fanny packs or luggage of any kind
• Computer bags, camera bags or any bag larger than the permissible size
