Pentecostal Life Church holds 3rd Annual “Community Care Fair” in Montgomery
MONTGOMERY, Ala. (WAKA) – Pentecostal Life Church hosted their annual Community Care Fair this past Sunday.
Dozens of people showed up to learn about resources in the River Region that could benefit them in many areas of their life. Many vendors that were there talked with people about first-time home ownership, future financial planning, insurance benefits, and much more.
As families battle high prices, this event allowed them to learn about resources that can help make their lives more affordable. It was the perfect opportunity to talk to different professionals in their field.
“Until you have an accident, you don’t pull out your policy and read it and look at the small print, and then they say ‘Oh, I’m not covered under this.’ Having the information to know, ‘Okay, I’m in need, I need some help, and I remember when I talked to this person, I know there is a resource out there, or I can touch base with someone who knows there’s a resource out there.’ Having that education and knowing what’s here, you may not need it right now, you may not need it until later, but it’s here,” said Coordinator for the Community Care Fair, Gina Smith.
After their 3rd annual fair, event coordinators said they plan to keep the event going in the future.
