Periods Of Rain Likely Friday Into Saturday

We continue to have a good chance to pick up some much needed rain Friday into early Saturday. Periods of rain will advance eastward across the state. Some area could receive an additional 1 to 2 inches of rainfall.

Showers will move eastward into the state later tonight. We don’t see anything too strong or severe with this round passing through here.  Light to moderate rain will continue working through the area Friday.  The clouds and rain activity will impact temps and we’re expecting highs only in the upper 60s Friday afternoon.  Additional waves will move along a boundary to our south and keep periods of rain going through roughly noon Saturday.

Drier weather conditions will return by Saturday afternoon.  We’re expecting sunshine to return but temps will be trending cooler.   Temps will reach the lower 70s for highs Saturday afternoon. Overnight temps will fall into the 40s for lows Saturday and Sunday night.  That’s going to feel a bit chilly but it’s a brief cool snap.  It’s looking sunny and warmer for early next week.  Temps will climb into the lower 80s by Tuesday afternoon.
