8 ON YOUR SIDE CONSUMER ALERT: Walmart recalls frozen pizzas

8 ON YOUR SIDE CONSUMER ALERT (WAKA) – Two types of frozen pizzas from Walmart have been recalled due to concerns they could be contaminated with salmonella.

The recall includes Great Value Stuffed Crust Chicken Bacon Ranch pizza and Great Value Thin and Crispy Crust Chicken Bacon Ranch.

The U.S. Agriculture Department’s Food Safety and Inspection Service announced the recall.

It says the pizzas have been linked to a potential salmonella outbreak in meat and poultry products made with a previously recalled dry milk powder. So far, there have been no confirmed reports of anyone getting sick.

If you have these frozen pizzas, you should either throw them away or return them to Walmart.
