Covington County’s Faith and Community Leaders Celebrate National Day of Prayer
May 7th is National Day of Prayer.
The National Day of Prayer began as a constitutional mandate by President Truman in 1952. Now, 75 years later the tradition continues.
In Andalusia faith leaders met at the Covington County CourtHouse to pray for our communities, military, educators and leaders. Joining together to blur the lines of religious denominations, cultural differences and political parties in an effort to change the course of a nation.
The 2026 theme for the National Day of Prayer is “Glorify God Among the Nations – Seeking Him in All Generations”
