1 dead, 1 injured in Montgomery crash

MONTGOMERY, Ala. (WAKA) – Montgomery police are investigating a crash that left one person dead and another injured.

Officers and fire medics were called to a two-vehicle crash around 4:27 p.m. Thursday at the intersection of Ann Street and Interstate 85.

Police say both drivers, an adult female and an adult male, were taken to a local hospital for treatment.

The female driver had minor, non-life threatening injuries. However, the male driver suffered life-threatening injuries and later died at the hospital. Police have not released the identity of the male driver at this time.

The cause of crash remains under investigation.
