Body of missing Tallassee boater found in Marshall County

MARSHALL COUNTY, Ala. (WAKA) – The body of a missing boater from Tallassee has been recovered in Marshall County.
Officials with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency say 25-year-old Jeremiah Gamble was reported missing around 1:23 p.m. Sunday after a single-vessel marine-related event that happened near Goat Island on Lake Guntersville.
Troopers say Gamble was on board a pontoon boat and later fell overboard. Gamble went below the water’s surface and did not reappear.
Around 5:29 p.m. Tuesday, Gamble’s body was located near the Honeycomb Campground area.

The cause of the accident remains under investigation.
