Bianca Jackson takes the reigns at Carver

Carver High School has officially named Montgomery native, Bianca Jackson, as the next head coach of the program. Jackson has spent time playing collegiately at the Division I level, and also brings with her college coaching experience as well.

The former Brewbaker Tech student-athlete is excited to pour into a community that she says gave so much to her. Another thing that Jackson says she’s out to prove is that her players can also achieve their goals of playing collegiately, just like she did.

“To come to the gym every day with a mindset that they want to be better, being intentional about their craft. You know, being young, sometimes you don’t take things as seriously, but the time flies by,

so just really trying to instill the importance to them of how every day is important and just not take any opportunities for granted,” explains Jackson.

Jackson made three different stops during her college career, those being at Florida State, South Carolina, and Georgia Tech.

Following her years playing Division I Basketball, she began her coaching journey at Alabama State as a graduate assistant.
