City celebrates re-opening of Regency Park Community Center
MONTGOMERY, Ala. (WAKA) – Montgomery city leaders are celebrating the re-opening of the Regency Park Community Center.
A celebration was held today at the center, which is located at 5995 Christy Lane. It included remarks from Mayor Steven Reed and members of the Montgomery City Council, followed by a ribbon cutting and guided tours.
The center has undergone major improvements, including a renovated gymnasium, an e-sports and computer lab and better security.
City leaders say the upgrades reflect the their ongoing commitment to providing high‑quality, inclusive and engaging recreational experiences for all Montgomery residents.
