Chick-fil-A coming to Wetumpka

WETUMPKA, Ala. (WAKA) – Chick-fil-a will soon be coming to the city of Wetumpka.

City officials announced Thursday that the new restaurant will be coming to the Shoppes at Fort Toulouse on U.S. Highway 231. It will be located on the front-corner location of the shopping center, which is anchored by Publix.

“This investment reflects years of intentional planning, strong partnerships, and thoughtful economic development,” said Lynn Weldon, Director of Economic Development for the City of Wetumpka. “As Wetumpka continues to grow, we remain committed to strengthening our economy while preserving the small-town charm that makes our community so special.”

In addition to Chick-fil-A, 7 Brew is also coming to the shopping center. City officials say the new additions are expected to create more than 70 new jobs and generate over $5 million in annual sales.

“For years, our residents have asked to see Chick-fil-A come to Wetumpka, and we’re proud to see that vision becoming a reality,” said Mayor Jerry Willis. “This project is another sign of the positive momentum our community is experiencing, and we look forward to the opportunities it will bring for our citizens and local economy

City officials say construction timelines and opening dates will be announced as soon as they become available.
