ACTION 8 UPDATE: Two inmates in Perry County now in custody, 2 still remain at-large

PERRY COUNTY, Ala. (WAKA) – Two of the four inmates that recently escaped from the Perry County Correctional Prep Center are now in custody.

The inmates, who were from Dallas County, escaped the facility around 1:00 a.m. Saturday.

Marquavious Billingsley, Jaden Maxwell, Johnny Bush, Jr. and Kevin Gunn were at the prep center facility under an agreement with the Dallas County Sheriff’s Office. Officials say the facility that they escaped from is not part of Alabama Pardons and Paroles.

According to the Dallas County Sheriff’s Office, Johnny Bush, Jr. was taken into custody after a traffic stop in Midfield, outside of Birmingham. Officials say Bush was located in a stolen vehicle.

Authorities also say Jaden Maxwell turned himself in Sunday evening.

Anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of Gunn and Billingsley is urged to call 911. Authorities say do not attempt to approach or apprehend them.

The escapees are facing multiple charges, including breaking and entering vehicles, first-degree escape, assault first degree promoting prison contraband, first-degree robbery, and murder.
