Two men injured in Montgomery shooting

MONTGOMERY, Ala. (WAKA) – Montgomery police are investigating a shooting that injured two men.

Montgomery Police Department spokesperson Lt. Tina McGriff tells Action 8 News that around 3:50 p.m. Saturday, officers responded to a local hospital after receiving a call regarding a person arriving with a gunshot wound.

The officers located an adult male with a non-life threatening gunshot wound. Police say preliminary evidence showed that the shooting occurred in the 2800 block of East South Blvd.

About 5 minutes prior, officers were also called to the same address in response to a person shot.

Once they arrived, they found a second adult male with a non-life threatening gunshot wound. The victim was taken to a local hospital for treatment.

Montgomery police say a juvenile male in possession of a gun was apprehended while leaving the scene of the shooting.

The unidentified male has been charged with Certain Persons Forbidden to Carry a Firearm. He is currently in the Montgomery Youth Facility.
