17 Springs Marketplace in Millbrook to add another restaurant
MILLBROOK, Ala. (WAKA) – Another restaurant will be joining Baumhower’s Victory Grille at the 17 Springs recreation, shopping and dining complex in Millbrook.
The City of Millbrook and the Elmore County Commission have announced that 1220 Café will be coming to the 17 Springs Marketplace.
1220 Café is already a popular dining spot in Tallassee since opening there in 2012. It is owned by Noah and Pam Griggs, Stephen Duggar and Todd Cornwall. The restaurant offers sandwiches,
hand-tossed salads, soups, homestyle meals, seafood and house-made desserts.
17 Springs continues its growth into a destination for dining, shopping, recreation and entertainment.
“We are thrilled to welcome 1220 Café to Millbrook and to the Marketplace at 17 Springs,” Millbrook Mayor Al Kelley said. “The restaurant has built a strong reputation for quality food, outstanding customer service, and community involvement. Their menu offers something for everyone, and we believe they will be a tremendous addition to our community.”
Bart Mercer, Chairman of the Elmore County Commission, adds that “1220 Café is a great addition to the Marketplace at 17 Springs. Noah and his team have a reputation for quality
food, service and hospitality. We believe they are a great fit for the Marketplace and compliment 17 Springs nicely.”
Noah Griggs, owner of 1220 Café and Chief Executive Officer of Wharf Casual Seafood, expressed enthusiasm about bringing the restaurant’s signature dining experience to Millbrook. “Millbrook is experiencing tremendous growth, and we are excited to become part of that momentum,” said Griggs. “The Marketplace at 17 Springs provides an outstanding location, and we look forward to serving residents and visitors with the fresh, quality food and hospitality that have made 1220 Café a favorite in Tallassee.”
Additional details regarding construction and opening dates will be announced as they become available.
17 Springs sits on 110 acres off Alabama Highway 14, just off of Interstate 65. It features multipurpose athletic fields, tennis and pickleball courts, an 85,000 square foot field house and a football stadium. Other features including dining, shopping and entertainment, are still being developed.
