Man arrested in Montgomery shooting

MONTGOMERY, Ala. (WAKA) – Montgomery police have arrested a man in a recent shooting.

It happened around 2:00 p.m. on Friday, May 1 in the 500 block of Chatsworth Drive.

Once officers arrived, the 27-year-old victim told them they were inside the home when they heard several shots of gunfire entering the home.

Court records say the victim’s injuries were considered non-life threatening and was transported to Baptist South for treatment.

19-year-old Roderick Scott was later developed as the suspect and was taken into custody on June 15.

Scott is currently in the Montgomery County Detention Facility where he faces three counts of shooting into an occupied dwelling and one count of 1st degree assault.
