Alexander City man charged in fatal shooting of four-month-old boy
ALEXANDER CITY, Ala. (WAKA) – Alexander City police have charged a man with a shooting that killed a four-month-old boy.
Yesterday, officers and fire medics were called to the shooting, which happened in the 1500 block of J Street. The baby was taken to Russell Medical Center and was pronounced dead shortly after arrival.
Police say 21-year-old Ameyun May of Alexander City has been arrested and charged with murder. He is being held in the Tallapoosa County Jail where he awaits a bond hearing.
No other information has been released.
