Georgiana Police Department Expanding to keep Citizens Safe

The Georgiana Police Department is adding to its Police force in preparation of the town’s continued growth and community safety.

The Georgiana Police Force is adding three new officers to their dedicated team who are ready to protect and serve the citizens of Georgiana with their actions.

With city funding and support Police Chief Jeremy Peagler is now able to add 2 new full time and one part time officer to help create a solid well rounded force.

The addition allowed the city to solve two pressing issues: petty theft and a lack of School Resource Officers as the city is now able to place a full time School Resource Officer at the Georgianna School.

The department isn’t done yet and are hoping to add one additional Academy Trained officer to their team.
