Crash in Bullock County leaves 1 dead, 1 injured
BULLOCK COUNTY, Ala. (WAKA) – A two-vehicle crash in Bullock County has claimed the life of a Union Springs man and injured a Florida woman.
It happened around 9:00 a.m. Friday on Alabama 110 near the 18 mile marker, approximately 12 miles west of Union Springs.
Troopers say 49-year-old Terrance Avery was fatally injured when the car he was driving collided head on with another car. Avery was not using a seat belt at the time of the crash and was pronounced dead on the scene.
The driver of the second vehicle was also injured and taken to Baptist Medical Center South in Montgomery for treatment.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
