SEC Media Days 2026: Oklahoma hoping to make the College Football Playoffs, win championship
TAMPA, Fla. (WAKA) – Action 8 Lace Up Sports is in Tampa, Florida, for SEC Media Days, where Oklahoma hopes it has the game plan for another trip to the College Football Playoffs.
The Sooners last captured a national championship in 2000. That is something that head coach Brent Venables wants to change.
This season, quarterback John Mateer returns following a hand injury. Last season, Oklahoma beat Alabama in the regular season, only to fall to the Crimson Tide in the first round of the playoffs.
