Three Montgomery residents killed in Interstate 65 crash

CHILTON COUNTY, Ala. (WAKA) – Three Montgomery residents have been killed in a multi-vehicle crash on Interstate 65 in Chilton County.

Alabama State Troopers say 65-year-old Valerie Granville was driving an SUV that crossed the median and hit a pickup truck head-on. Damage from that impact hit and damaged a car.

Granville was pronounced dead at the scene. In addition, state troopers say two passengers in the SUV, 39-year-old Vensen Granville and 69-year-old Willie Gholston were also pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the pickup, 47-year-old Robert Eaton of Meridianville was injured and taken to Baptist Medical Center South in Montgomery for treatment.

The driver of the car that was also involved when it was hit by debris was driven by 48-year-old Drema Webb of Crossville, Tennessee.

The wreck happened at just after 11AM yesterday about two miles south of Verbena on Interstate 65.
