ACTION 8 UPDATE: Two people arrested in Montgomery man’s beating death

MONTGOMERY, Ala. (WAKA) – Montgomery police say a man and a woman have been arrested in a man’s beating death.

Police say 31-year-old Richard Harris and 42-year-old Pamela Nichols have been charged with murder and are being held without bond.

They are charged with killing 43-year-old William Nichols of Montgomery.

Police say on the afternoon of June 4, officers were called to the 1400 block of Federal Drive regarding an unresponsive man. They found William Nichols with life-threatening injuries that appeared to be from blunt force trauma. He was taken to a hospital where he died the following day.
