Selma Police make an arrest in a Saturday night shooting

One man is hurt and another is behind bars following a Saturday night shooting in Selma.

Lt. Nathan Gibson says officers found 41 year old Michael Elmore sitting in a car bleeding when they arrived on the scene.

The shooting happened on the 300 block of Wheeler Avenue.

Gibson said Elmore appeared to have been shot several times and identified 36 year old Jason Trimnal as the person who shot him.

Elmore was transported to a Montgomery hospital where he’s now been treated and released.

Trimnal is being held in the Perry Co. PREP Center without bond.
